Invited speaker program finalized | November 2009
Please check out the exciting scientific
program with titled presentations from the 15 invited speakers that are experts and thought leaders in their field. We are also pleased to receive
support from 20 industrial players in the field of genomics and to see symposium registrations coming from 12 different countries (and counting)!

Call to action | September 2009
Register now and save 20%. Early bird registration ends October 31st and is 100 EUR for the 2 days (75 EUR for one day).
Registration includes access to the venue (speakers, posters, industrial booths), catering (lunch and coffee breaks) and symposium brochure. You are on your own for travel and lodging. More information can be found on the
registration page.
The call for submission of abstracts is now open. Any real-time PCR or next-generation sequencing related abstract is welcome as poster. The scientific committee will select outstanding abstracts for oral presentation. Abstract submission dead-line is November 30th. More information can be found on the
abstract submission page.
Scientific committee is established | May 2009
Two dedicated scientific committees of international experts are established, one for the qPCR day, and another for the NGS day. The
committees are responsible for the scientific program, such as invitation of key note speakers and selection of oral presentations from
the abstract contributions. More details on the scientific committees in the
program section of the website.
Industrial sponsors commit support | April 2009
Numerous important players on the genomics market have committed their invaluable support for the Advances in Genomics Symposium 2010.
More details on the current sponsors, sponsorship opportunities and return on investment is available in the
sponsors section.
Confirmed keynote speakers | March 2009
For the qPCR day, we have confirmed participation of Stephen Bustin (Queen Mary University London, UK), Carl Wittwer (University of Utah, USA),
Cristof Niemeyer (University of Dortmund, Germany) and Michael Pfaffl (Technical University of Munchen, Germany).
For the NGS day, we have confirmed participation of Alison Coffey (Welcome Trust Sanger Institute, UK), Paul Flicek
(European Bioinformatics Institute, UK), Ivo Gut (Centre de Génotypage, Evry, France), Heinz Himmelbauer (Center for Genomic Regulation,
Barcelona, Spain), Daniel Turner (Welcome Trust Sanger Institute, UK), Johan den Dunnen (Leiden Genome Technology Center, the Netherlands).

A new name – the same philosophy | February 2009
Following the success and great feedback we received from speakers, sponsors and 350 attendants of the
Benelux qPCR Symposium in October 2008,
a similar but extended version of the Symposium will be organized end of January 2010.
To provide an international discussion forum to learn about the state of the art of various technologies, the new symposium was renamed
“Advances in Genomics Symposium”. We aim for a series of events focused on various groundbreaking life science technologies.
The 2010 Symposium involves two days, the first being dedicated to real-time PCR, the second being entirely focused on next-generation
sequencing, one of the most exciting and evolving genomics technologies currently available.
